Gardein: Meat-Less Food Products - Review

Information about meat free foods . Information about Gardein meat free food products.

Gardein – a line of plant based food products was developed more than 25 years ago by Yves Potvin, founder and president Garden Protein International Inc located in Richmond, British Columbia. Gardein meet-free food products is marketed throughout the United States and Canada in restaurants, supermarkets and grocery store chains, such as Whole Foods Market, Kroger’s, Publix, Ralph's, and Safeway Inc. There line of fresh products includes bbq Shredds, Chicken Marsala, and Herb Dijon Breasts and their frozen product line include Buffalo wings, Stuffed Turkey, Beefless Burger, and Mandarin Orange Crispy Chicken.

Gardein’s unique food products has won many awards and accolades and have been featured on prominent shows such as The Oprah Winfrey Show, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and many local and national morning news shows throughout the United Sates and Canada

The majority of Gardein’s ingredients come from North American farms and uses mostly non-GMO (genetically modified organisms) ingredients, vegetable-based flavors and spices, and some organic ingredients. Gardein uses a variety of proteins by using wheat, soy and pea proteins. They lead the industry with their use of ancient grains such as quinoa, amaranth, millet, and kamut from India and spices from South America.

My sister brought Gardein Tuscan Breasts with Tomato and Basil Sauce home and asked me to try it and let her know what I thought. Needless to say I was skeptical and left the package in the refrigerator for a couple of days before I decided to do something with it since it wasn’t going away. Upon opening the package I was pleasantly surprised; it looks and smells like real chicken. I prepared it on the stove top and served it with pasta and green peas, my children thought it was great, of course I didn’t tell them that it wasn’t real chicken, I have to agree with them. This product had the flavor, texture and chew of real chicken breasts.

With no preservatives and natural ingredients, and with 21 grams of protein as well essential amino acids, has convinced me to try Gardein’s other products. Home-style Beefless Tips over rice.

Great review of my much love foods, thanks.

Francina, found this one at buzzitup and I was intrigued, you have about 8 buzz ups but so few shares. I guess some people do not follow that buzz up rule. Anyway, I shared this one at FaceBook via 'like' and tweeted this one. A very good review, well done.

Thanks, Phoenix I follow the rules on buzzitup. Many people, not on Faxtoidz email me about food, health and wellness, home maintenance, etc and I email those articles of interest to them. I appreciate your support
